Orbi RBR40 need to deregister I have given the router to my son, so he can register

How to deregister a router. my son accidentally registered his router under my account. I have submitted a support ticket and they have closed the ticket stating he can now manually register the router. He has tried but keeps saying it registered to someone else. Can someone help me fix this.
