Orbi RBR40 Stopped working

Note: I have an Orbi RBR40 with two satellites. I picked RBS40 from the dropdown because the RBR40 system from Best Buy wasn't an option.

Current configuration:

Problem: No WiFi signal. Cannot connect to the Orbi Mesh system via WiFi or direct ethernet cable.

Age: ~2.5 months, purchased June 9

Satellites: Magenta top LED

Main Router: Green power light on, no top LED.

Outside Connection: Connected to output port on a Netgear AC1750 (see "last time" below).  I also tried connecting directly to my ISP's modem, which is locked in a box outside the house. It is direct-to-home fiber service.

This is the second time it suddenly stopped working. During the last event, about a month ago, I reconnected my old Wifi system to run in tandem with the Orbi because I need a 100% reliable system for work-from-home purposes. The last time it did start working again a few hours after stopping.

Restart of the main router usually has no effect (tried both push power button, and also unplug-wait-replug, each multiple times). Pushing and holding reset button with a paperclip has no effect (longest hold ~20 seconds). I've tried with the original power source, an older Netgear Nighthawk power source, and a small DC UPS. After ONE of the many unplug-replug cycles the top LED did start blinking for a while, then it went out.

After the last time I made sure I had the latest firmware (I did). I cannot confirm the exact number now because I cannot get to the router.

Even thought it is connected directly to an output port on the AC1750, the light above that port is off. Another device connecte the the AC1750 and a direct laptop connection both lit up correctly.

I assume you tried a different network cable and you are going from a Lan port on the AC1750 to the WAN port on the Orbi router?

When factory resetting the router and/or satellite, I find holding down the reset buttom and then power on the Orbi, still holding the reset button in, works better. I wait for the power light to turn red then let go of the reset button, and let the orbi come to the flashing white light on top. Then I re-configure the router. Be sure to restart the netgear. I would do the same thing with each satellite.

I'd also be careful using a different power supply unless they are rated the same.
