Right after all these software issues it was actually nothing of the sort!
Changed the ethernet cable to a CAT8 (which was still cheap) and it fixed the problem.
Wifi now flying at the correct speeds.Which actually begs the question, why do Netgear Orbi only supply low grade ethernet cables?
This should surely come as some sort of warning on all Orbi products.
Really frustrating but glad just £10 can resolve the problem.
Sorry for wasting all of your time but REALLY appreciate all the help.

Glad you got it working. Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.

Manufacturers package thousands of Ethernet patch cables with products (Round, Flat, Cat5e, Cat6... Cat-whatever) and very few customers appear to experience this issue. It was the 92MB/s that led to this discovery. If the Orbi had reported 102MB/s I would never question the cable.
