Orbi rbr50 firmware update
Not able to update firmware via app, comes up with errors. When I do it manually via modem portal address it is telling me firmware version is not valid even through it is correct. ORBI RBR50 modem & ...
What firmware version are you on?
what firmware version are you trying to install?
There are 2x versions of that 50 series, do you have the correct one?
did you extract it prior to trying to manually upload it?

current version V2.7.3.22
trying to install RBR50 V2.7.4.24
Do you have the correct one...think so. very sure mine is not V2
download it first, then uploaded it.
i read it is best to install satellite firmware first then router. Sate version was RBS50 v2.7.4.24
There is no difference in firmware between version 1 and version 2 of the RBR50.
Yes, Netgear does recommend updating the satellite(s) first, before updating the router.
You downloaded it. Did you extract it prior to trying to upload it?
Do you have screensnips of what you're doing and the error. Sometimes that helps us to see what's actually happening

The current firmware for the RBR50 and the RBS50 is firmware version 2.7.4.24. If the satellite is already on the current version there is no need to update the satellite first.
