Did you ever get a solution to this? I have exactly the same issue. Can’t reset because it says not connected to internet yet some pages load, others say “No such file or directory“ or “Authetification Required”. Thinking it may be hardware. Connection via the main (non-Netgear) router fine.

Factory reset the router using the pin push button in back for 15 seconds. Then with a wire connected PC or laptop, using a browser, connect to 192.168.1.1 and walk thru the setup wizard. You can skip adding the satellite and do that later. Complete the entire set up wizard process. This should complete then log you into the routers web page. After this, log out and you should have normal internet access.
What FW version are you using?
What is the Mfr and model# of the ISP modem?

Thanks. Presume FW is firewall. Nothing specific other than ISP which is Virgin Media - using their standard modem.
Can connect fine directly with Virgin Modem and everything working fine until this evening.
Will try the factory reset and set up wired. Could not re-set up using mobile app as said no internet connection.

Sorry, FW = Firmware.
What is the model# of the ISP modem? Built in router here by chance?
