Orbi RBR50 keeps dropping internet
My Orbi RBR50 (App: 2.5.4.1036, Firmware: v2.5.1.16) keeps dropping internet from the router. Satellites will show connected, but surfing the web gets spotty results (likely due to device switching ...

Ditto!!!
I'm pulling my (what's left of) hair out.
I'd previously been running my RBR50 router as an Access Point, connected to a Netgear Nighthawk R7000. (+ one RBS50 Satellite)
As I'd never been reaching my 'boost' broadband speed that I've paid for (61-81mbps), I decided to try the Orbi RBR50 back as the Router (not an AP).
Connected to my providers broadband service fine but pretty much straight away started intermittently dropping it's connection to the BT OpenReach modem, and thus losing our internet connection. Oddly, seems to drop for around 7 minutes at a time.
My provider has made some changes to the line but I've not seen any change to the intermittent dropping of internet connection.
Any suggestions? I've not done a factory reset of the RBR50 yet, but wonder if that's worth a shot based on it being previously setup as an AP. Perhaps it's got screwed somewhere along the lines by switching to being a Router?
Welcome some suggestions please folks as I'm currently enemy number 1 with the kids and wife!! Who knew that internet could replace the air we breath ;-)
So you are now bypassing the Nighthawk and directly connecting to the OpenReach modem? If so what cable are you using to connect your Orbi Router to your OpenReach ONT? The disconnect issues should not be the problem with the Orbi router. It sounds as if maybe you are losing the IP lease you are getting from the OpenReach ONT to the Orbi router.
Try disconnecting everything from your system, except the Orbi router. Make sure you reboot the OpenReach ONT before setting up the Orbi router. Once you are confident your Orbi router is setup properly as a router, test to see if your internet connection is stable. Then set your satellites and any other device up.

Thanks for the swift reply Mstrbig.
To answer your points....
1) No R7000 in the mix now.
It's Openreach Modem<->Orbi RBR50<->Orbi RBS50
2) standard ADSL cable
Have actually done a factory reset on RBR50, have left it off for 30mins, along with leaving Openreach Modem off for 30mins. All now back on and configured again, and...touch wood...we've not had any drop outs for the past 5 hours.
Did have a hunch that perhaps switching the Orbi from being an AP, to Router may have messed up some internal settings, so the factory reset may have resolved. On the other hand, perhaps TT have actually made an adjustment on the line which has fixed matters. Either way, currently Everyone's Favourite, rather than Enemy No.1!!
