do hardwired devices drop?
What modem/gateway is it connected to?

1:Yes by hardwired you mean devices connected with ethernet, if so yes
2: It is connected to a spectrum- plemansJul 26, 2023Guru - Experienced User
when hardwired devices are dropping too, it makes me suspicious of the modem or the modem's connection.
Problem with spectrum is they've locked down their modems so you can't check their cable connections page anymore. So its tough for us to check it unless you have a 3rd party modem (and some of those get locked down too).
Spectrums first response whenever you ask them to check the line is "its not our line, its fine" or the blame the router.

so what can we do then?
Will replacing the router possibly fix the problem? We called spectrum for support and they switched out there modem and a new one and they said that there line was fixed.

Look on the modem for a make and model number.
Does it also have a row of Ethernet LAN ports on it somewhere? That is another indicator.

The spectrum modem is 1 ethernet port. The we had the same issue with modems, not sure if they are the same model or not. But for 3 years we were using the same modem, no issues. Then there was, we called spectrum replaced the modem, and said our line is fine, it's your guyses.
