ORBI RBR50 randomly drops internet or individual devices stop working

I used to have similar issues with my RBR50 which seemed to relate some of the automatic firmware updates causing issues with old settings on the router. What I did was ensured that the router was updated to latest firmware and did a reset to it (by pressing the reset button on the back with a pin) and did seemed to remove my random disconnect issues.
