Orbi RBR50 RBS50 Firmware Version 2.5.1.32
Last night (July 1, 2020), I updated the router through the app since it found an update. My RBR50 router and two RBS50 satellites updated from 2.5.1.16 to 2.5.1.32 automatically. Problem is, that ...

You might downgrade the RBR back to v16, factory reset the RBR and RBS then walk thru the setup wizard, add the RBS, then check for the update again.
New FW seems to always appear on the Orbis FW update page first before the manual file downloads appear on the web site.

Thank you for the reply. I have a bunch of setting I'd rather not lose till I think it can't be helped. Then I'll have no choice, but I think I'll give it a few weeks to see if the update shows on the support page.

I think your'e right about that. It's so weird that "2.5.1.32" wasn't even showing up while searching comments. I thought companies normally put out a version change notice explaining what the update's meant to address.
Thank you for your reply

You are correct that many companies release pretty detailed explanations of "what has changed". Alas, Netgear does not.
Just as a friendly tip, I would not rush to update Orbi firmware. If the app says, "New Firmware NOW. Click HERE. HURRY.", I would just take a deep breath and look away. I am pretty much of a "bleeding edge" customer, but I have seen too many complaints about new Orbi firmware wreaking havok that I wait a minimum of 30 days after new firmware comes out before even thinking of updating my Orbi. There's a saying, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." As long as the Orbi system is performing satisfactorily, new firmware should promise something very specific and important to make installing it a good idea.

Sound advice, thank you. I really only update hoping the USB would magically able to handle an external drive in the next update. I'm using a second older router on the network just for its ability to share my external drive to group folder use. I have a network printer so I don't need a print server. The USB for printshare is of no use to me personally. I'm actually going to replace my Orbi setup with something else with that ability in the next year. I just don't need a full-blown NAS. Of course I know I could just buy a network external drive such as MyCloud, but I've got so many space external drives already; I hate to buy yet another just for the network feature.
Anyway, thank you for the great reply.
