Hello EpiKgohan
Welcome to the NETGEAR Community!
I understand that you are having difficulties including your NETGEAR switches in your Orbi network. Since the Orbi router and satellites connect without the switches we can count this as a configuration issue. This usually occurs when the ports are assigned different VLANS. For two devices to connect to each other the ports need to be assigned the same VLANS. For example, if the router is connected to port 1 with VLAN#2 then VLAN#2 will also need to be assigned to the port in which the satellites are assigned. Since all the ports your the switch are members of VLAN#1 by default then all the devices connected to the switch should be able to communicate once that VLAN is active. However, when using a router with a switch the port needs to be a trunk port. By default, all of the ports on the switch are access ports. Please change to port connected to your Orbi router to trunk port mode. Test connectivity by connecting a PC to the switch to verify you are able to connect to the internet. Then connect the additional satellite to the switch and initiate the pairing process.
Please follow the instructions below to change the port setting of your Nighthawk S8000 GS808E:
From the menu at the top of the page select SWITCHING.
NEXT, select VLAN
Then, select ACTIVATION MODE
Now, select CONTINUE
Finally, from the mode menu select Trunk(uplink).
For more information on VLANS and port modes please see the user manual below page 53:
