Orbi RBR50 slowing down network traffic
My ISP just upgraded me to gigabit internet, and when I plug my PC directly into the modem, I get speeds north of 900 mbps. When I plug the Orbi in, the speed test shows 700Mbps. Updated to the lat...

So my ISP is Comporium, a local shop near Charlotte, NC. The actual modem I'm using is an Arris Touchstone CM8200.

Oh, also, this is all wired. I'm using Cat6 cables, and only Cat6 cables. Further, This is doing the speed test on the Orbi itself in the web console. Plugging my PC directly into the Arris gives me the correct speeds that I expect.

OK, so I made the recommended changes. No difference. It appears that the Orbi can't handle gig internet? Do I need to find a different brand router?

Has a full power OFF of the RBR and modem for 1 minute been performed since last FW update?
Try a factory reset and setup from scratch. Be sure to not Enable Armor, Circle, QoS or Traffic Meter on the RBR after the setup wizard completes.
You might try V70 FW if your in the USA region or downgrade to v16.
The RBR does handle near 1Gb speeds:

After a factory reset, no dice. Same. I'm losing about 250mbps at the Orbi. I've also noticed that there's nowhere to actually turn off QOS. I tried to call netgear support and they wanted to charge me for the call. Horribly disappointing. The reddit thread around v70 also talked about how buggy it is, so I'm hesitant to go there. How could QoS cause a slowdown from a speed test at the router? I can see where a connected device might have an issue.
