ORBI RBR50
I have the OrbiRBR50 base unit, and also another Orbi extender downstairs. The Base Unit was plugged into a Spectrum modem/router combo unit and it worked well for a long time. Spectrum just came and changed the equipment. They gave me a router and a separate modem - 2 pieces. The E31N2V1 and the RAC2V1S. I have connection using the orbi, however, i can't get all sites. I keep getting a 404 error on many sites, like starbucks, teamsnap, etc. It will say the site is not secure.
Is there something i need to do, so that i can get to all websites?
Thank you

The RAC2V1S and the Orbi are both routers with WiFi. You need only one. If the RAC2V1S covers your entire home and you are happy with the way it works, you do not need an Orbi. On the other hand, if the RAC2V1S does not provide WiFi to your entire home, then the optimal strategy is to simply remove the RAC2V1S and plug the Orbi directly into the modem.

Is there a setting i need to change on the orbi so i can access all websites? Ex. When i select my ORBI wifi connection, and i try to connect to certain websites, it will say "not secure" or error 404 or your password will be sent unencrypted. EX: If i manually type in caala.org into the address bar, i get "Log in to caala.org: 80; Your password will be sent uncrypted (I am attaching a screen shot). If i manually type in the address bar https://caala.org, it will take me to the site. Now, if i select the wifi "myspectrumwifi2-g", i can type in the address bar: caala.org and it will take me to the site.
So, it looks like for some sites when i use the orbi wifi, the https is not automaticlly being added when using the orbi.

It might be useful to know a couple of things:
- Which web browser is being used?
- Does this Orbi have Netgear's "Armor" activated on it?
Thanks

So is the RAC2V1S connected in between the E31N2V1 modem and the Orbi RBR or is it just the E31N2V1 modem connected to the Orbi RBR? The later being preferred.
If the RAC2V1S is still in the middle, then this would be a double NAT condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT
Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router. https://kb.netgear.com/31218/How-do-I-configure-my-Orbi-router-to-act-as-an-access-point and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7LOcJ8GdDo&app=desktop
