Orbi RBR50v2 and ESPN +, Hulu, and Disney+
Hello,
First time poster here who has already spent some time with the ESPN plus folks trying to figure out why the wifi is suddenly incompatible with these services. I am getting error messages asking me to log in and log out with ESPN plus, Hulu, and Disney plus. I have upgraded the firmware for the RBR50V2 and satellites. Reset the routers and my fiber optic cable.Uninstalled and reinstalled the apps. Was unable to access these three apps on my Apple TV, iPad Pro, and my iPhone 14. All other non Disney related apps work just fine without issues. I even tried downloading the apps via direct TV and was unable to get them to work. I have a work PC which I hooked up directly to my fiber optic line and the apps worked fine. I am able to access these apps when I turn off wifi and use data on my phone. When I turn the wifi back on, these three apps allow me to log in but then get connection errors. Not sure what else to do. The ESPN plus folks suggest I look at firewall settings but was unable to find anything when logging in with my admin password. Just wondering if anyone has had similar issues. My router and satellites are just about 5 years old. Perhaps time for an upgrade? I still think it’s curious that everything works fine except these three apps. Thanks for reading.

Try this:
Search - NETGEAR Communities – ESPN , Hulu, Disney
A few previous reports of similar behaviour.

Indeed. It does point suspicion at the apps themselves. Do the router's logs offer any clues?
Just another user with time on their hands.

Have you tried a different DNS?
Here's a few. Also remember to change the ipv6 dns server if ipv6 is enabled.
CloudFlare

GoogleDNS

Thanks so much. Will take a look this evening. I’m hoping I can implement the suggestions here successfully. One thing I forgot to mention previously is that the Disney plus people did say they were noticing we were having connectivity/bandwidth issues on our end. Though I’m regularly getting upload and download speeds of 800 mpbs. I just tried the apps out at my office which is 2 miles down the road from our house and uses the same ISP so it’s not the provider and has something to do with the settings on our router.

What modem/gateway is it connected to?
