Orbi RBR/RBS50 not syncing and connected devices not showing
I'm currently running firmware version 2.5.1.8 on both the router and the satellite. Up until recently they were working reliably and the system has been great. Two things may have affected that and ...

What is the Mfr and model# of the ISP modem the NG router is connected too?
What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected. https://kb.netgear.com/000036466/How-far-should-I-place-my-Orbi-satellite-from-my-Orbi-router
What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and any unused channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?
Try enabling Beamforming and MIMO(MIMO may or maynot be needed) and WMM. Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings
Try disabling the following and see:
Armor, Circle, Daisy Chain, Fast Roaming, IPv6 and Set 20/40Mhz Coexistence to 40Mhz only. Set Short preamble instead of Long preamble modes. Save settings and reboot the router and satellite(s).

Two things may have affected that and I'm not sure which. We recently added a Ring doorbell to our home network and it doesn't stay connected consistently. We also had a recent very brief power outage and now the satellite doesn't sync with the router, and the connected devices don't show up. They are connected and do function, but the backhaul status shows as disconnected so connections do sometimes drop. I can see the list of devices that have permission to be on the network, but they don't show up as connected. The number of connected devices shows as anywhere between 1 and 5 and varies from time to time.
I've seen other users with similar problems where the solution seems to be to manually update the firmware to the version I'm running. Not sure what to do to fix this?

What is the Mfr and model# of the ISP modem the NG router is connected too? CICSO DPC3849V - provided by my cable provider and our cable also runs through it.

30 feet, separated by one floor, and always worked perfectly until now. When I plug the satellite in, it shows a blue circle after it connects to the network, but does not sync.

I have tried changing channels as you described but no luck. We have 9 wifi neighbours nearby.

Tried this - it didn't help.

Don't have Armor or Circle enabled, but will try the others.

Seems that you may have a ISP modem with built in router and wifi.
Do you know what mode the modem is working in? Router or Bridged?
This would be a double NAT condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT
https://kb.netgear.com/30187/How-to-fix-issues-with-Double-NAT
Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router. https://kb.netgear.com/31218/How-do-I-configure-my-Orbi-router-to-act-as-an-access-point and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7LOcJ8GdDo&app=desktopTry removing the RBS from the RBRs web page. Then factory reset the RBS by pressing the back reset button for 15 seconds then release. Once the top ring LED slowly pulsates WHITE, press the black sync button on the RBR then on the RBS. I would do this with the RBS in the same room as the RBR. If you get it sync'd, then place back in remote location.
A reset of the RBR maybe needed as last resort.

How do you explain...." Up until recently they were working reliably and the system has been great.?"

It is bridged and was done at install by the ISP at the same time as I installed the RBR - have had both working together successfully for almost 3 years.

I did remove the RBS manually but have not performed a factory reset on it. Can try that.
