Orbi router bricked. Convert satellite to access point?

My rbr20 seems to be bricked after a power outage during the day change. I've tried several methods to manually load firmware, while the firmware gets loaded and the router is printable, the orb flashes white and the power led flashes red.

So I'm thinking of converting the rbs20 to a pure access point with a new router. Is that possible? How do I update the settings of the satellite now that the router is down
