Are both desktop and laptop connected to the Orbi the same eay for the test?
i.e, both wired or both WiFi?
Please explain "Download". (I assume it means using a web browser to get files from an internet source).
The old internet service was FIOS and the new internet service is ???
Both have similar speeds?

Yes all tests were done identically.

Downloading any files, content or updates. It doesnt matter what I try to download. When I downloaded updates for my drivers, it was at 3Mbps. when I downloaded test files through google chrome, it was at 3Mbps. When I tried to download an update for a game through steam, it was at 2Mbps. It doesn't matter the source. My laptop can download from all those same sources in seconds.
Unfortunately I'm not sure, I dont pay for the service here. I do know that it's around 1Gig speed.
My FIOS was 1Gig as well.

Thanks for the screen shots.
So, both computers are connected over WiFi for these tests (not ethernet).
One shows a Link Rate of 866.7 (the maximum possible on Orbi at 802.11ac ).
The other computer shows what Link Rate?
Orbi's built-in SpeedTest by Ookla records an internet download speed of 453.
What does SpeedTest report when run on the two Windows computers.
This appears to be similar to one computer being connected to WiFi at 802.11ac and the other connected at 802.11b (the oldest and slowest speed). That's the reason for asking about the Link rate and the SpeedTest from each computer.
