Orbi salellite not passing Mac screen sharing

Now I'm at a complete loss. I've switched the two satellites and they both are working as i would expect. This makes zero sense. I'm going to switch them back and see if the problem comes back with the one satellite...why would it? Of course if it does return, i will switch them yet once again, and if it works that way, i'm leaving it! The only difference between the two is the hardware of course, and the number of hard-wired connections per satellite. The "bad" one has 1 hardwired connection and the "good" one has 4. That can't possibly matter...but i'm stating it as a reference point.

BTW, I'm computer scientist by education and trade, so I understand enough about this that this kind of crap drives me nuts. But as a good CS major, i will only change one thing at a time and observe. Then another thing and observe. Then put my head through a wall...
