No idea what you mean by "mode of orbi operation". I plugged it in, set it up per the instructions and didn't touch it again until it failed.

Power OFF the ISP modem and RBR for 30 seconds. Power ON the ISP Modem and let it come to ready. Then power ON the RBR.
Besure to use a good quality LAN cable between the ISP modem and RBR, CAT6 is recommended.
Your Orbi is running in Router mode.
Are you seeing which LED color on top of the RBR when this problem happens?
