Orbi speed tests
Hi folks. When I run a speed test from my Orbi app on my iPhone, I am seeing download around 600 and upload around 700. However, when I run a speed test from “Speedtest.net” Standing 10 feet from the router I get 200 down and like 30 up.
I have Optimum Altice 1GB fiber. I have the optimum router plugged into the Orbi router, and Orbi router set in AP mode with 2 satellites connected. All my devises are connected to the Orbi SSID not the Altice box which broadcasts a different SSID.
Not sure if my setup matters or not. But I find it strange the Orbi is reading such fast speeds at the wire, yet standing right next to it the wireless tests are so drastically different. Any ideas?

Wireless speeds are limited by AC/AX and environmental conditions. You also seem to have Double NAT and that will limit wired and wireless speeds. The best comparison will be to run speedtest.net on a wired device plugged into the Orbi base and compare to speedtest.net on a wireless device, not rely upon the Orbi's app/admin website speed test.
