Orbi WiFi System

My network Connects to a fibre modem ( supplied by ISP) from BT. This then links to a Netgear Nighthawk R7000 as my prime router. My question is whether I can use an Orbi system to replace the Nighthawk unit, given that this is operating on  fibre protocol?

I am attracted tp the Orbi given its speed an range which would improve my network performance. I currently have three PCs, one NAS and two network printers all operating within my network on a combination of WI-fi and wireless. I need to make sure that I can replicate this setup using an Orbi system.

    it can replace the r7000 but has limited router features in comparison but it will work fine 

     

    you can however keep the r7000 as your router and just disable its wifi abd connect the orbi system in AP mode and get the best of both worlds
