The reason I ask is I have Ring cameras and for some reason they seem to lose RSSI signal strength. It is like the cameras are only seeing the master station and not a satellite!
The cameras are only 10-15 feet from the sattelites so I know they are not to far away.
When Orbi restarts for some reason, the Router (master station) comes up first, so all devices will choose to connect to the Router. later when the Satellites come up, most devices like smart phones and other smart devices will see that there is a better signal from the Satellites and will roam to one of the Satellites, but there are also some devices that are "stickky" by design like most security cameras, some speakers, ... etc that will never choose to roam unless the complete signal is gone or if those devices are restarted.
So, if you want your Ring cameras to choose closer nodes then please power cycle them so they will then choose the node with the best RSSI level.
