If your ONT and ARRIS router are showing RED indications, I would contact the ISP and have them check the lines and there logs for any information.
Orbi should not be cuasing problems.
Yes if Orbi is setting a 10 IP address, this means it's detected the ARRIS is using 192.168.1.1 which is also used by NG, so Orbi changes to something different.
What FW is currently loaded on the Orbi system?

I'm not real sure. I was told i needed to turn firewall off on gateway for the ip passthrough to work properly. Was told that the firewall on the orbi is automaticly on when installed. Does this sound right?

Well if it's in IP pass thru, Firewall on the ARRIS modem wouldn't matter as the pass thru isn't effected by the firewall. However, this is correct.
One thing you can do is set the RBR up for AP mode. Remove the IP pass thru configuration from the ARRID modem and enable the firewall on the modem/router and see if anything changes. If the ONT and modem still experience RED indications, then this is still an ISP issue that they needs to look at. https://kb.netgear.com/31218/How-do-I-configure-my-Orbi-router-to-act-as-an-access-point and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7LOcJ8GdDo&app=desktop

Thanks for your help. I set the Orbi in AP Mode about a week ago and it still continues to go out. I switched it back to router mode in order to get the benifits that the RBK852 offers. I've called At&t and a tech is coming out Saturday. I've been dealing with this for two weeks now and ready to get it fixed!
