Orbi with BGW210
firmware v2.2.1.210
I just purchased a Orbi home wif system, router with 3 sattelites. I have an BGW210 router modem, that I am using as a modem to passthrough to my ORBI to provide wifi. I configured my BGW210 as IP passthrough to my MAC address on my ORBI, I turned off firewall features, and stopped broadcasting wifi channels from it. It seems to be working well however, my speeds are not what I thought they would be, seems slow.
When I am close to my Orbi I get ping 3, download 450-480Mbps, upload 450-480MBps. I think this is fine, but I would add that when I was using the BGW210 wifi, I was getting mid 500's on both upload and download. When I move to a sattelites I get 5 on the ping, download 240 MBps, and Upload 260 Mbps.
I am accessing from my new macbook pro, the sattelite is approximately 60 feet from Orbi modem, through 3 walls. I have read the posts, and maybe I should try other channels? I do have sonos in the house, as well. Any other suggestions? I would have stayed with my BGW210, but it was not pushing signals, so I read about this technology and figured it would be awesome, just a little underwhelmed. Maybe I shoule have just gone with extenders.

What are the wired speed results using a wired PC to the back of the Orbi?

When I connect to the back of my Orbi router with ethernet, i get ping = 1, 849Mbps up, 930 Mbps down. When I connected wired to the back of a sattelite I got ping = 3, 246 down, and 265 up

Wired speeds should be good at the base router. Satellite and wireless will usually be slower. The norm for wireless.
