I’ll probably have a chance to try again Friday. Reading around, Fios might be configured for the MAC Address of the G1100 to have the IP assigned to it so I might have to “change” the MAC on the Orbi so it fools Fios into thinking it it the G1100.
As for the reasons to do it, I would like to pause individual devices, check out Circle and the other security features.

I was also thinking if I can’t get it to work probably with the Fios TV the dvr management on the mobile application and caller ID on the TV screen. I was thinking of getting a hardware firewall with UTM for the extra security features and virus/malware protection.

Could have just been the old router though. Maybe I’ll try it out with the Orbi.
