orib satellites losing contact with base
All, After a few days, the wireless network becomes unstable and has long stretches of ping failures to orbilogin.com. Since this is 100% internal ping, the ISP or router is not involved. ...
when I have short intermittent drops, there is no color on the ring. If the drop lasts more than a minute, the ring turns purple.
also, when the drops occur, none of the devices directly plugged into the satellite's network ports can ping the satellite's IP.
I added another satellite to my Orbi Pro system a couple of weeks ago.
up till then it's been pretty good for over a year, but the new satellite wanted a firmware update, and this same update went to base and other satellites. System has been unstable since with satellites randomly losing connection to the base ever since. Same behaviour as op describes with ring going purple.
Is this likely to be another suspect firmware version. It's the latest available as of a week or so ago.
