Outdoor satellite shows "off"
I have managed to manually update the firmware for the outdoor satellite to the latest version, it is recognised and connects to the router ... but when I log into the satellite directly, using the i...

Hi again
Hooray! Having changed the 2.4 ghz channel on the router from "auto" to "1", the outdoor satellite now seems to be connecting and reconnecting reliably. We now seem to have a really useable signal in our building at the bottom of the garden, about 15 m from the main house and the indoor satellite.
However, it is a bit weird. As you can see from the attached screenshots, it looks as though the inside satellite is now connecting through the outdoor satellite - and registering backhaul status as poor. But - when the indoor satellite connects directly to the router, backhaul status always registers as good. And if I do not use daisy chaining the outdoor satellite registers the backhaul status as poor.
The distance from the router (upstairs) and the indoor satellite (ground floor) is about 10m vertically, 8 m horizontally. The outdoor satellite is another 10 mg away horizontally in the garden.
i'm grateful that at last it seems to be working, but am pretty mystified by what is happening. Why should a change in the 2.4 ghz channel make such a difference when they seem to be connecting via 5 ghz?

If you take a device and connect to the RBSY, do you get a connect there? Also log in to the RBSYs web page to see if your device is listed there under Connected Devices...

Curioser and curioser - having left the outdoor satellite switched on for a few hours it is now connecting to the indoor satellite, which, in turn, is connecting with the router - and backhaul status is good on both devices! And it has even re-connected after being switched off all night.
Although it is still marked as "off" when I connect to it directly it seems now to be working perfectly.
I think I am now going to let sleeping dogs lie - no more fiddling. thanks for your help with this!
