Modem Combo Units:
Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly. Then you don't need any PF configurations here.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode. You don't need any PF configurations on the modem.
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router. https://kb.netgear.com/31218/How-do-I-configure-my-Orbi-router-to-act-as-an-access-point and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7LOcJ8GdDo&app=desktop
Then you would do PF configurations on the modem.

However, I'm guessing I also need to do somethong on my Arris modem and this is where I'm getting stuck. Have looked at the guide here:
https://portforward.com/arris/tg2472g/ but am a bit lost as to what details to enter. I tried using the IP of the Orbi and the same port details, but this didn't seem to work. Modem said the Orbi IP WAS AN INVALID IP ADDRESS.
My local IP is setup as 192.168.1.4 and my modem is 192.168.0.1 and my Orbi 192.168.1.1.
Any ideas? Thanks.
