Trying to do port forwarding on port 563. I've entered everything correctly per instructions and Youtube videos. However when I go to sites like canyouseeme.org or portchecker.co and test, they all...

Hello cliyeh,
Welcome to the NETGEAR Community!
I understand that you are not able to successfully configure port forwarding on your Orbi RBR50.
Please navigate to the link below for directions on how to successfully open a port on your network using Port Forwarding:

those were the exact instructions I've followed and still no luck. Funny thing is I created another port forward rule for vnc and that works. Not sure why port 563 does not work.

What specific server is being run on the PC that uses TCP port 563?
The server does work with a local connection, correct?

Hello cliyeh,
I understand that you are using port 563 for NNTP services. Have you tried using port 119 for your configuration (port 119 also supports NNTP)?

Could you do me a favor and try Gibson Research Shields Up! https://www.grc.com/shieldsup ??
Does it report port 563 Closed or Stealth?
Explanation: For testing, I often forward a port to a Pi-hole server which hosts a web interface. (and shut down the forwarding as soon as my test is completed). In my experience, Orbi port forwarding works as it should. Just for fun, I forwarded port 80 (http) to a non-existent device (192.168.1.150 which is not actually a device). Shields Up! reports my public IP port 80 is Stealth because the connection attempt simply disappears. No response of any kind. If the connection attempt had been refused, then the report would be Closed.

Not sure why, but I ended up reboot the router after the changes were made and it works now. I thought the port forwarding changes didn't require reboot. Thanks for everything.
