Preventing outgoing requests with Orbi RBR50

You are correct that Access Control is not useful for this purpose.
Have you looked at "Block Services". Click on the Help "Arrow" at the bottom for an explanation.

Hey thanks, I think this is what I'm after! So if I choose Block Services and set the service type to Any, will that prevent all outgoing requests?

Yes. I would try that with one device first to "see what happens." I am never confident that Orbi features actually do what one expects them to do. For example, I tried blocking my cell phone, and it appears the phone simply switched over to LTE. I then blocked a laptop and some web browsers said, "no internet" while others took a while, but eventually connected. I could "ping" 1.1.1.1, which indicates that it "Any" certainly doesn't block everything.
