problem settup up new RBS50 with my RBR50
I previously had purchased a RBR50 and RBS50. I have those 2 setup and working just fine. I recently purchased a second RBS50 to add to the network and improve overall house coverage. When I sync the new RBS50, I get the blue light indicating that it has sync'd however when I look at the attached devices in the Web Page for the RBR50, it still only shows 1 satellite and the new RBS50 is just showing as a device on the network connected to the Guest network.
I have upgraded the firmware on the devices. I have changed the admin password on the RBR50, the RBS50 has the default password set. I can't see where to change its password in the UI connected to that satellite. Could that be preventing the setup from working? I tried to set the password back to the default, but of course it won't allow that.

Orbi satellites inherit their password from the router. It cannot be set directly on the satellite. If the RBS50 has the default password and is not showing as a satellite, then it did not sync. Can you please describe the process used to do this, such as
- Used the Router "Add Orbi Satellite" menu item on the web interface (bottom menu item)?
- Used the WPS buttons?

Yes, I understand it didn't completely sync.
I have done it both ways. Initially, I had hit the sync button on the new RBS50 and then the sync button on the RBR50. The RBS50 would flash white for a couple of minutes and then went solid blue. However, it didn't completely sync.
Then I logged into the RBR50 Web Page and selected the 'Add Orbi Satellite' selection, clicked Next and then Sync (after hitting the Sync button on the new RBS50).
Watching the RBS50, it again goes to Blue and then eventually the WebPage comes back with the message, 'Satellite failed setup'.

I would probably do a Factory Reset on the new satellite. (Can't hurt because all custom settings are stored on the router.)
One time two years ago I had a satellite that would not sync and I used TFTP to flash the satellite firmware. (Not for the faint of heart.)
