Most of the Internet of Things (IoT) devices operate by having the device open a connection to the vendor's cloud, which provides the pathway for communication in both directions without forwarding a port.
If your application requires forwarding a port, it is essential that there be only one router, to avoid the dreaded "Double NAT"

When you check "What's my IP address?" with one of the many web sites, does it show the same IP as in the Orbi web interface, Advanced Tab, Internet Port?
