Question about memory difference between RBS50 or RBS50Y

With 6 antennas, the RBS50 uses entirely different radios and antennas to "backhaul" to the nearest Orbi unit (router or satellite). The RBS50Y uses the same 5G radio and antenna for both user devices and backhaul. So, in theory, the RBS50 would have more capacity than the RBS50Y. Whether anyone would detect a difference in performance is unknown.
The difference in flash memory is probably meaningless. The original "50" series WiFi units had 4GB flash memory. The newer "version2" units (both router and satellite) have only 512MB (1/8 the memory). My conclusion is that Netgear discovered that including more flash memory was not necessary and reduced it from 4GB to 512MB.
The bigger issue (in my opinion) is "what can you actually purchase?" I have been actively seeking an RBS50 satellite and not finding any.
