Raspberry PI 3 can't see RBK50

Hi,

I recently acquired the RBK50 and everything is working as expected for all my Apple and Android devices.

However, I also have 2 Media Centers based on Openelec / Libreelec on Raspberry PI3. Since I moved to Orbi, those 2 devices don't see my wireless network at all. I can still see my neighbours Wifi, but can't see mine. If I start my previous Wifi system, it is properly seen by the Raspberry PI3 (so it's not an issue with the PI).

Is this a known limitation?

Anyone having the same issue?

Thanks in advance,

Thanks OrbiPhilip. Some update here. I performed some more tests and found out that when forcing the 2.4Ghz Channel instead of using "Automatic" - the Raspberry Pi were able to see the wireless SSID.

  • FWIW, my Pi3 running raspian sees my Orbi just fine. I just remoted in (VNC/GUI), changed the preferred router, and clicked Ok.  Never even missed a beat in my VNC session.  That said, mine is most likely connecting to my satellite (RBS50)
