RB50 and 2 satellites
What is the max speed the RB 50 can push?

The RBR50 router has gigabit WAN and LAN ports. The maximum possible speed through these is slightly less than a gigabit because of Ethernet overhead. Over 900Mbps, but less than 960Mbps.
This is system is WiFi5. Maximum speed for a WiFi device very close to the router is 500-600Mbps. Speed falls off quickly with distance from the router.
Connections to satellites depend on how the satellite connects to the router. Ethernet connection will result in higher performance than the default WiFi connection.
With this product, there is no point in paying for an ISP connection higher than gigabit.

Certainly. Like every other WiFi vendor, Netgear has routers with all sorts of capacity. For example, these models have a WAN port capable of 10G, 5G, 1.5G, and 1G Ethernet:
- WiFi6E 960
- WiFi6 860
- WiFi7 870
- WiFi7 970
They also feature WiFi6, WiFi6E, or WiFi7 capability which delivers higher speed to devices which support those protocols (typically the most recent - and most expensive - iPhone and Android phones. and add-on WiFi adapters for laptops and desktops) These models are also "not cheap". (Dare one say that $1,999.00 for one router and two satellites might be considered a bit pricey?)
That leaves the question of what can a person DO with a 5G ISP connection? Streaming 4K video requires about 25Mbps. So, a regular 1G ISP download could keep 10 televisions streaming movies while a dozen phones/tablets browsed the web, did email, etc. ISPs offer great pricing on fast connections because very few customers use even a fraction of it.
