RBK23 or other in place of BT Whole Home discs

Live in 2 storey Victorian semi with thick walls

Speed to the house is maximum and stable 30mbps from BT. Have BT Smart Hub 1. At present linking two satellite BT Whole Home discson on one floor and one connected to the router on another. Sometimes a challenge to link them with little opportunity to move discs such that performance goes from Good to Excellent.

Main use is streaming iplayer/Netflix/youtube plus low demand surfing and e mails. Not high end user.

Question what if anything would be an improvement?

Thank you

I'm assuming the BT service you have is Fibre Essential 36Mbps? If your BT Smart Hub 1 is covering your home adequately, and you are getting the full bandwidth you pay for, I  would stick with it. I only say this because your 36Mbps plan would not benefit speed wise with Orbi. But the Orbi would guarantee you would get better WIFI coverage.

If you decide on Orbi, for the size home you describe I recommend the Orbi RBK53 system. It is more powerful than your BT Smart Hub 1, so you will get better WIFI coverage. I uggested this system because you mentioned thick walls. So I calculated a more powerful system to compensate for signal loss. I can personally vouch for this model, as I not only own the system, but routinely install it.
