RBK40 — Orbi AC2200 Tri-band WiFi System - Drops WiFi Constantly
Hello, all. I am currently using a RBK40 — Orbi AC2200 Tri-band WiFi System connected directly to my Frontier (nee, Verizon) FiOS ONT that is mounted on the exterior of my house in a weather protect...

Try a factory reset on the RBR and RBS and setup from scratch since the FW was updated.
30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected. https://kb.netgear.com/000036466/How-far-should-I-place-my-Orbi-satellite-from-my-Orbi-router
What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and any unused channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?

I'll keep monitoring it for a couple of days. If it fails again, I'm thinking that I'll just end up getting a different system, because I'm not as adept as most on here about fiddling with a system that is supposed to be plug and play .... and I can't risk the downtime necessary to test and fiddle all the time ...

I did the Factory Reset last night. A few hours later WiFi dropped again, but came back on (I can see when my cameras send me an email that they disconnected and when they come back online). So far it's been up for the entire morning ... we'll see how it goes. I was reading about how to do a Firmware Downgrade, but where would I find the older firmware to do that?

Are you seeing the camedras go down and assume the entire WIFI is dead, or are you not able to get access with any WIFI device?
I ask this because cameras dropping WIFI is common until you force the camera to connect to the closest Orbi node.

We're seeing the entire WiFi go down -- no devices can access it. I just get my notifications from the Cameras, so I know it happened when I'm sleeping! When we're awake, we see that all of the WiFi just stops working -- no matter if the device is attached to the Router or the Satellite, but our hardwired to the router devices still work on the 'net.

You can downgrade to v16 on the RBS first then RBR lastly. Try this and then see. Try a set again if v16 continues to experience problems.
Try some of the suggestions in the user stability link.

Thanks! But where do I find the v16 firmware?
I did all of the stuff from the stability link except for downgrading the firmware ...
