RBK43 Ethernet Backhaul not working
I am using a pretty simple setup. Cat6 cable from the port right of the WAN port on the RBR40 directly into left port on RBS40. Cable works fine, tested directly into laptop without wifi and had full...
The yellow WAN port needs to be connected to your ISP modem/ONT. One of the white LAN ports on the RBR should be connected to the back of the RBS.
What Firmware version is currently loaded?
Satelite connected to one of the white ports indeed and firmware version 2.3.5.30.
I have also followed this:
- Switch off the Satellite
- Go to Attached Devices in the web GUI and click on the "Disconnect" button beside the Satellite in questions
- Turn on the Satellite and use a paper clip to factory reset the Satellite
- When the Satellite is up after factory reset, press the Sync button on the Satellite (while the Ethernet cable to the Router is connected) and then on the Router
- When the Satellite is added it should behave correctly.
Same result...
Disconnect the ethernet cable from the RBS.
Factory reset the RBS, then Turn OFF the RBS.
Select Remove from RBRs web page for the RBS. It should say disconnected. Apply the change and reboot the RBR.
After the RBR is bakc to ready. Power ON the RBS and re-sync it to the RBR WIRELESSLY first. Ensure it connects and appears in the RBRs web page. Top LED should turn BLUE.
After the top LED on the RBS turns OFF, connect the LAN cable between the RBR and RBS. The top ring on the RBS should turn ON, PINK I think. Then should turn BLUE.
Check the status on the RBRs web page.So I did all of that, and was refreshing the device list in the browser at the end. I had a wired connection (and blue light) for about 5 seconds, after which it went back to a poor 5ghz connection again. I thought putting a wire in would make my life easier (dropped connections due to RBS too far away from the RBR), but I am still stuck at the same place....
Any other ideas?
Try a factory reset on the RBR and RBS. Set up the RBR with the setup wizard. Add the RBS wirelessly first, then connect eithernet.
If this still fails, the system maybe faulty and needs replaced/RMAd.
