What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Does the top ring LED turn ON when this happens on the RBR or RBS?
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and 📡 satellite(s)? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR and RBS📡 to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected.

Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?
Has a power off for 1 minute then back ON with the ISP modem and Orbi system been performed since last update?

Thanks for the response. Some answers below:

This DOES NOT happen when the network goes down. There is no external indicator on the ORBI to show a problem is occuring

My ORBIs are wired backhaul so not relevant here.

Only one other wifi network is visible to my house

Possibly not no for a whole minute. Although a few reboots have happened

What mode is thes modem working in? Router or Bridge?
Your ISP Modem already has a built in router and wifi. This would be a double NAT (two router) condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT
https://kb.netgear.com/30187/How-to-fix-issues-with-Double-NAT
Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router. https://kb.netgear.com/31218/How-do-I-configure-my-Orbi-router-to-act-as-an-access-point and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7LOcJ8GdDo&app=desktopDoes the top ring LED turn ON when this happens on the RBR or RBS?

Regardless of backhaul, distance IS relevant and can impact good operation and cause problems.
Are the RBS directly connected to the RBR or is ther a LAN switch in the middle? If there is a switch, brand and model# please.

A full power OFF by pulling the power adapter should be performed for 1 minute or more.

Hi Flurry, answers below:

The modem is in bridge mode, so my local network is being managed by the Orbi router only.

I do have a number of netgear unmanaged switches in my home network, models such GS608v3, plus newer versions of the same. However, I have intentionally ensured that my satelites are directly cabled to back to the Router and do not go via switches.
A full power OFF by pulling the power adapter should be performed for 1 minute or more.
I will try this and report back.

Ok. I would also turn OFF the RBS and switches and just run the RBR to see if the problem continues. Keep an eye on the top ring LED for any appearance here as well.
Another suggestion would be to put the modem back to router mode then configure AP mode on the RBR to see if the problem continues or not...if it does, a full on factory reset maybe needed.
