Rbk53 switching from AP mode to Router
Hi, I've been using my RBK53 for a few years in AP mode fronted recently by a BT Smarthub 2. We're getting FTTP in a couple of weeks and I'm trying to decide whether it makes sense to remove the Smarthub 2, connect the Orbi directly to the ONT, and switch the orbi to being the Router. Is it just a case of changing the advanced setting from AP to router if I'm sticking with the same SSID or are my devices going to become confused and need a reboot?
Yes, if the new ISP HW has no built in router, then you can switch the RBR back to router mode, reboot and it should keep same SSID name and PW for everything.
