Why is this ORBI such a pos !! pricey and it is pure junk..I'm so frustrated with the constant disconnects. I bought this POS new and are running the main with one satellite in a 1100 sq ft house..constant issues with connection being dropped..zero help on the net...I got an email saying there was an update..so i oppened the app and it took almost 15 minutes for it to locate my orbi info..finally got it and selected update..that took for ever. then it rebooted and said it was done...close everything and reopened to confirm update..said update still. so i selected it again..30 minutes later it said successful updated..closed and rechecked..this time it was confirmed..now everything it even worse..speed says i'm uploading at 11.4 and down 110 mbs..my service is up to 100..well crock of poo..cause now it takes for ever to load a page..at least before the update it was faster at opening pages..now i have the disconnects and slower service..i paid good money for this junk..is there or is there not a true fix????

What Firmware is currently loaded? If you have updated FW, a factory reset and setup from scratch is recommended.
What is the Mfr and model# of the ISP modem the NG router is connected too?
Is the Orbi system operating in Router or AP mode?
What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet is recommended in between them to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected. What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and any unused channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?Try enabling Beamforming and MIMO(MIMO may or maynot be needed) and WMM. Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings
Try disabling the following and see:
Daisy Chain, Fast Roaming, IPv6 and Set 20/40Mhz Coexistence to 40Mhz only. Save settings and reboot the router and satellite(s).How are you speed testing? From the Orbi speedtest app or Ooklas speedtest app on different PCs or mobile devices?

The modem is a DVW32CB UBee model..the primary satellite is approx 20 ft hardlined in one direction, the first satellite is approx 40 or less from the primary RBS50 modem..
Channel is 6 on 2.4ghz, 5g is auto
yes on neighbors..i can see boadcastings of at least 7 networks
I don't see beamforming..I see wwm wich just has two option for on / off for wmm support and power save support
it appears from the orbi app that all devices are connecting to 5g. I see one device on 2.4g but unsure what it is..
Not sure where to find this: Try disabling the following and see:

Your modem already has a built in router and wifi:
This would be a double NAT condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT
Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router. https://kb.netgear.com/31218/How-do-I-configure-my-Orbi-router-to-act-as-an-access-point and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7LOcJ8GdDo&app=desktop20 feet is TOO close between the one satellites and the RBR. Even if ethernet connected. 30 feet is recommended in between them to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected.
