RBK53S vs RBK22
i purchased RBK53S which is router + 2 satellite model but due to my home size (1400 sqft) i am only using router +1 satellite. does it make sense to use RBK22 which is cheaper than RBK53S. i did read specs between both AC2200 vs AC3000 so me using RBK53 with 1 satellite is it same as RBK22. will i get 3Gbps on RBK53 on router+1 satellite configuration?
Only big difference is the wireless backhaul on the 20 series is maxed at 866Mbps while the 50 series does 1733Mbps.
The 3Gb is a combination of 1733+866+866 on the 50 series.
If you already have the 50 series, Just keep it, use the RBR and 1 RBS. If you can, try the RBR alone and see how it works.
30 feet is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected. https://kb.netgear.com/000036466/How-far-should-I-place-my-Orbi-satellite-from-my-Orbi-router
