RBR 40 Firmware and new satellites

Hi the Netgear website indicates the firmware version 2.6.1.36 is the current version. The version I have is 2.6.2.104. 

 

I am assuming that my version is the current version. Is that correct.

 

Also which of the new satellites will be compatible with my Router or would I have to change to a new Router for deadspots and speed.

    According to the Netgear web site, 2.6.1.36 is the latest firmware for the RBR40.  The version you have has not been released.

    Very strange indeed.

    Any of the original Orbi residential satellites will function with the RBR40 router:

    RBS50, RBS40, RBS20, RBW30, and RBS40V
