RBR 50 V2 Satellite Firmware Corrupted
I have an RBR 50 v2 with two satellites. Two years old. One of them woke me up this morning at 4 AM with a blinking white light. The router appeared to be functioning fine, so I tried rebooting an...

Firmware version is V2.7.4.24.
The modem is from Xfinity and it says it is an ARRIS TG1682G (if that makes any sense).
As for your instructions, I really appreciate your detail and thoroughness, but unfortunately my knowledge is so limited, I'm going to have to pick them apart slowly - very slowly - starting with finding out what a RBS web page is. But thank you again for getting me this far.

Your ISP Modem already has a built in router and wifi. This would be a double NAT (two router) condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT

Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router. https://kb.netgear.com/31218/How-do-I-configure-my-Orbi-router-to-act-as-an-access-point and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7LOcJ8GdDo&app=desktop

Try option #1 or #2 first...

I did attempt to put my Xfinity modem in bridge mode two years ago when I installed the Orbi, however I failed. And when I contacted Xfinity support for help they failed as well! Anyway, I pushed ahead with the installation and the Orbi system - the router and both satellites - has worked flawlessly ever since with excellent coverage and speed (and that's with the Xfinity network fully functioning). And even now the router continues to work just great but without the satellites. So it makes me suspect that something else might be at play.
Which brings me back to my original problem of replacing the corrupted firmware in the satellites. I was finally able to login to my Orbi and followed the directions exactly to manually update the firmware in the satellites but ran into a Catch 22. The router recognized the satellites, however they were shown as "disconnected". And because they were disconnected they could not "selected" on the menu to upgrade the firmware. And of course they could not be "connected" because the firmware is corrupted!
Not sure what to do from here. I'll try again tomorrow to put the Xfinity modem in bridge mode but I'm not optimistic.

My own practice is to connect a web browser directly to the satellite's own web page using the current IP address of the satellite.
(the login is "admin" and the same password as the router).
If the satellite appears to be dead (no on the network at all), then the only possible way to bring it back to life is to push firmware directly to it using TFTP:

This is a highly technical adventure. I have done it successfully, and it took several tries.
