What switches is it?
Also, your diagram with the "+" doesn't say if that switch is plugged into the RBR unit or into your VPN router.
Make sure its to the RBR unit

There have been posts describing an "ARP Storm" that sometimes happens when satellites are connected through a dumb switch. Apparently the storm continues for a minute or two and then ceases.
Does the Orbi stay at 100% CPU for an extended length of time?

The 100% cpu is on my VPN router (tl-r600vpn), not the orbi unit. It situated the CPU and ended up knock out my network access until I unplug the satellite. I don't think it's related to the rbr20 unit at all ...
Here is my detail setup and connectivities:
ISP -> WAN -> tl-r600vpn -+- LanPort1 --> rbr20 -> 5G backhaul -> rbs20 (x2)
-+- LanPort2 --> tl-sg1024s -+-> gs724t -+-> tl-sg116 -+-> rbs20 (also connected through 5G backhaul at the time)
All my orbi units including rbr20 are on dhcp (i.e. dynamic IP assigned from the VPN router).
As you can see, I try to connect the main unit (rbr20) through multiple layer of switches to satellites.
I try to get a confirmatioin that will the above configuration works or not. Or I have to connect the tl-sg1024s
into the lan port of rbr20.
I wonder if I need to remove the satellite before I re-connect it through ethernet to avoid the ARP storm issue probably triggered by the dual path to the main unit. I haven't tried that yet ...
Thanks.
