RBR20 Firmware HotFix Update not working
Your firmware website page shows a hotfix for ORbi RBR20 Firmware RBR20-V2.3.5.26. Downloaded both new Satellite and Router Firmware (RBS20-V2.3.5.36 & RBR20-V2.3.5.36) and attempted to install Manu...

Thanks.
I finally did get the Satellite to update but then, when I went to update the Router to Firmware .36.... Router would not show on the list, only the Satellite.... I even disconnected the Satellite, still no option for Automatic or Manual Router update and this was directly connected with to my laptop with RJ45.
With Satellite at FW .36 and Router at FW .26, there was an issue on D/L speed via Orbi Satellite (avg 30Mbps from around 240Mbps)... so finally, I just decided too much trouble for a FW update that's showing on Netgear Website but not on my Router/Satellite and flashed Satellite back to FW .26.
IF the Router/Satellite does not want to automatically update the FW, I guess I will just leave it and not attempt to Manually update it.
I think my next Mesh Router is going to be another brand. Very Frustrating to see a FW update online and read a majority of NG routers with a new hacking flaw but only 90Day support (6months since purchase) and unable to get answers from NG.
Thanks for your help though!

Hopefully next full release of FW will work better for you. Be sure if something does come out, update the RBS first then the RBR lastly.
Good Luck.

Good Luck.
Better solution....stop manual updating. Allow NG to push the updates as needed. Your system will thank you.

NG has emailed there's an update yet the APP/Website still does not push as needed.
SO what's your solution now?

NOTHING
IF your system is working, leave it alone.
NG pushes critical updates with NO action required by the user.
- JetdriveMar 14, 2020LuminaryWhat version are you being offered? Does it say?

Hmmm,
NOTHING?
I think it's best to ignore your advice. Based on the email received below, I don't think you really have any valid solution to offer.
Thanks, but no reply is needed.

You can manually download v36 from here:
https://www.netgear.com/support/product/RBK20.aspx#download
If you do, use a wired PC, web browser, IE11 or FF, and unpack the .zip files. Update the RBS first then RBR lastly.
If your systems are working with out any problems, you can keep whats loaded. "if it works, don't fix it!"

So that's the issue, a software update has apparently been available, but not updating the hardware.
