Next time, try a factory reset and setup from scratch after loading new FW if you encounter problems. Many problems are solved by a reset.

Good Luck.I figure that doing the firmware rollback would be less involved than a factory reset. In your experience, is doing a factory reset relatively trivial as long as you've got a backup of the router's configs? Or is it advised to reconfigure the router by hand after a factory reset?

I recommend trying both with a saved configuration then one with from scratch if problems are seen after the backup is used. Sometimes older saved backups can still introduce problems from prior versions of FW. I recommend if updating FW and no issues are found, save off a new backup. If problems are seen, factory reset and setup from scratch, if no problems are seen after the reset, then save off a new backup configuration to file.

the trick is the 'problems'
best to wait and let the edge people try the new firmware out before you jump in the pool
