RBR20 with three RBW30 satellites drops connection repeatedly
Hi -
Looked through a lot of posts on this community - tried several but have had little success.
Right now I have an Orbi RBR20 with three satellites. Each satellite is a RBW30 - according to the Orbi site they are running the most current firmware v2.6.2.104 for the rbr20 and version v2.6.2.2 for each of the satellites - I thought the issue might be the firmware difference but there is not a v2.6.2.2 version for the router that I could find.
Internet provider is comcast high speed - just checked and download spped is 106 Mbps and upload is 6 Mbps. 1500 square feet two level home
I was running this setup with the router and one satellite for a couple years but had connectivity problems (weak signal) in some rooms so purchased two additional satellites and set them up a little more than a month ago. Things were good - synched easily - and coverage has been much better and many fewer buffering episodes on amazon prime and Sling. We have about 5 amazon fire sticks that with 3 of them often in use plus two Galaxy S20s and two iphone 11s. We also have kids in school with chromebooks and both my wife and I are working at home with windows based PCs. About three days ago we started having connectivity to the internet problems - the smart phones and the chromebooks started dropping connections - things would be ok after rebooting the RBR20 router but would only last a few hours until we would start getting the "connected to wifi without internet connection" error messages. Funny thing is that the computers and fire sticks stay connected - mainly just the phones. And I am using the orbi managment app on my s20 which will say internet offline but will still let me do a speed test.
I am ok with technology but no tech whiz and don't geek out on this sort of stuff - I just want the system to work - especially since it is not cheap
So far I have been very dissapointed with the lack of support - I may have to be the extended support but have no idea what that costs - if I have to purchase another system to get adequate coverage and support I am not likely to buy another orbi or net gear product

The forum is consumed with posts about a screwup in the Traffic Meter function which has caused Orbi's with certain firmware which also have automatic Daylight Saving Time activated to stop resolving Domain Names.
Whew. In short, if you have Traffic Meter enabled, "unenable" it immediately.
