RBR40 - "delete device" is not an option under Device Manager
In trying to clean up the 21 devices linked to my router, I went through one by one and named them all. I am left with several I have blocked. I'm guessing they are old phones - all they say is Apple...

That's exactly what I tried. I read that as a solution somewhere else. I attached a screenshot to my original question showing there is no "delete this device".

They recommended a hard reset. I have not done that.

You can try hard reset the device and reconfig >those devices will disappear.please use below link to reset .check the below steps to see how to do hard reset
To perform a factory reset:
#Verify that your router’s Power light is on.
On the back of your router, locate the Restore Factory Settings or Reset button.
Use a paper clip or similar object to press and hold the Restore Factory Settings or Reset button for seven seconds.
Release the Restore Factory Settings or Reset button.
Your router resets.
connect to netgear wifi name
open a browser
type in orbilogin.net
use the default login credentials:
User Name: admin
Password: password
