RBR40 and RBS20 Setup
All,
Have a RBR40 and two RBS20 Setup across are Rural 3800 square foot two story home.
We receive our internet by way of dual location Grain Silo Microwave feeds (Ground Based). My feed is supposed to be 25MBPS down and 3MBPS Up. Latency <50 ms. We have been on this ISP for almost 9 years now and recently we received a notice we are on the upgrade path to cable internet but the date is unknown. A neighbor a mile down has the upgraded internet.
The RBR40 is center of the home, first floor, as the Satellite Internet ISP WAN Feed comes in at that location.
The One RBS20 is basically almost directly above mounted high on a Hallway Stairway wall. The Other RBS20 is in the rear far quadrant of the home in the laundry room. This gives us internet access to the attached garage and 2 pole barns across the 4 acre property as a single exterior wall separates the outside from the laundry room.
The whole setup was updated to the Firmware version 2.7.4.24 a few months back as we started to notice a slow down in late summer.
The RBR40 reports 36 attached devices all but 2 are attached WIFI. I have done speed tests and my incoming line is always 21mbps or above and the down is always just at or below a little at 3mbps. Latency at 12ms.
Here is where I am unsure and need some help;
When I run my speedtest (ookla) from my desktop I get .75 to 1.1mpbs. This is when the kids are in school or we have a full house (not much change) and everything (TVs,tablets, computers, game systems) are running.
The speedtest at my desktop is my main machine. It even has an issue (slow...maybe a minute) connecting to the Orbi router. My WIFI connection on this desktop is reading Excellent as does almost everything else.
Any ideas to troubleshoot what my bottle neck could be on my desktop? Thoughts?
Thanks,
Chris
We have had this system now a number of years. The setup allows us to stream and for me to work across the whole property. as I commonly VPN into work - Half a normal 40 hour work week. We have had.

Any progress on this?
Has a power off for 1 minute then back ON with the ISP modem and router been performed since last update?
Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:
Turn off and unplug modem.
Turn off router and computers.
Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on computers and rest of network.
