What modem/gateway is the router connected to?
- EiremikeSep 02, 2022Tutor
The modem is an Arris brand, Model TG6441 from one of the major internet providers in the country I live in (Malta). Not sure if that info is helpful, please let me know what details you are looking for đ
Thanks for your help

are you able to log into the router via the browser and not through the app?
- EiremikeSep 02, 2022Tutor
Sadly, I cannot connect via a browser or the app.
I used to be able to connect via both up until 2 months ago. The last time I connected via a browser, I changed the TCP/IP settings (I think it was) - because Orbi was creating an IP address which was conflicting with my router and crashing my internet 5 times a day. So the technician from the internet company advised me to changed that setting.
Since changing that the internet has been excellent (even the Orbi connection is faster) btu the app and the browser repeatedly tell me that I am not connected to the Orbi!
2 things that might be useful:
I was advised not to plug into the yellow port on the back of the Orbi (marked "internet") but into one of the white ones. I did this and it worked, but not sure if it affected my access?
- Ive noticed that the name of my Orbi network spontaneously added a "2" onto the end of the name, like its a new network? Have the machines become self-aware? đ
Thanks
